"Año 1960. La ciudad de Liverpool vive polarizada por su militancia futbolera. Stanley Park es la frontera. En 1970 Lennon se empeñó en incluir en el álbum Let It be una canción, Dig It, en la que citaba a Matt Busby, el gran mito del Manchester United. Aquello se entendió entre los liverpudlians como una traición. Por entonces el grupo ya presumía de que All together now fuera un cántico habitual en los estadios de toda Gran Bretaña.

Hoy, 50 años después, Yellow Submarine es la canción más versionada en las gradas de una Premier en la que todos saben que el corazón del zurdo McCartney es toffee."
